Where Can I Get Free Books For My Kindle?
I just got a Kindle II for my birthday. Since I usually take books out of the library, I wondered if there is anything like that for the Kindle. Is my only choice to purchase books from Amazon?

Yes, Amazon is the only place to buy Kindle books. Here are their best sellers:http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…
However, there are some places providing ebooks for free. Here you can get over 20,000 free books, available in Kindle format:http://manybooks.net/
Amazon also provide over 7,000 free Kindle books:http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…
I’ve also bookmarked a good article talking about how to get more from money spent on the Kindle device. Guess you’ll be interested too:http://www.speedreaderxreview.com/is-kin…
Hope this helps.
If you are looking for older free e-books, published before 1923, visit:http://www.gutenberg.org (they have over 28,000 free e-books)http://www.webliterature.nethttp://manybooks.nethttp://www.munseys.comhttp://www.feedbooks.com
Then do a search for “free e-books” and you will find many more links.
Newer books are under copyright protection, so you will have a much harder time finding free e-book versions. http://newfreebooks.com is the exception; recent books that the authors have intentionally put online for free.

Legally you can’t. You can download them the legal way through amazon.com
