How Can I Become A Camera Tester For Nikon?
I saw an ad a while back where you could become a tester for Nikon cameras by taking pictures and sending result to Nikon and the tester gets to keep the camera. Does anyone know how to become one?

Are you an established photographer? Do you have a portfolio that shows the ability you have? What are your qualifications? Companies generally don’t just “give away” expensive products because someone says they’ll test them. An offer such as the one you mention is limited to a handful of cameras and the qualifying criteria (as well as the legal obligations one has to agree to in order to be considered) are quite stringent.
If you’re truly interested in becoming a tester, you should write to the company expressing that interest. Be prepared to answer a battery of questions if they even consider your request.
By the way, if you get picked, you will need to use it more than a few “snapshots” around the neighborhood, you know.
I think it’s similar to beta testing a program. Play with it all day long and record every button you press until it crashes. Not even worth the time any more.
Some of the photography magazines test cameras, and then report on them. They have the equipment to do very thorough testing. I’m sure you don’t have that kind of equipment to do that kind of testing.
